Robin is a doctor and for all his professional life has worked to build health-promoting societies, showing how these have the same ingredients as sustainable societies. Robin believes policy to achieve these societies should be framed to offer synergistic environmental, social and financial gain - the so-called ‘virtuous cycle’ policies which he has been instrumental in developing.

The creation of societies in which social and economic gain is shared fairly and are developed within environmental limits.

The priority London needs to focus on to become the world’s most sustainable city
Narrowing the gap between the rich and poor at the same time as reducing the city’s environmental footprint. We should strive to make all the policies we implement virtuous cycle policies.
