Director of the CEA Consultancy and Chair of the London 21 Sustainability Network

Sustainability experience
Chris trained as environmental biologist and teacher and worked for friends of the Earth UK from 1986 - 1990. Since then he has worked as a consultant specialising in local sustainability and as environmental advisor to the Community Development Foundation. Chris has also worked on sustainable development since the 1992 UN Earth Summit, helping develop UK work on Local Agenda 21.

Definition of sustainable development and why it is important for London
Sustainable development is about the integration of environmental and social justice programmes and objectives and about making lasting changes that benefit all Londoners.

The priority London needs to focus on to become the world's most sustainable city
London needs to integrate the development of policies that support sustainable development whilst developing a working sustainability infrastructure that enables all Londoners to live more sustainable lives and to lead by example.
