Sustainability Experience
Paul joined Hammerson in 2007 and is responsible for the group's sustainability strategy, community and environmental activities across both its assets and developments. Paul sits on key property specific sustainability groups such as the Better Building Partnership, British Council for Offices Environmental Sustainability Group where the property industry is sharing best practise and pushing the sustainability agenda. Prior to his work at Hammerson, Paul worked for 10 years in Australia, USA and Asia, for Lend Lease and Arup. His projects in Australia won over 40 sustainability awards and delivered the first 5-star ABGR and 5 Green-star As Built ratings.
Definition of Sustainable Development and why it is important for London
Sustainability means meeting all the environmental and social challenges facing us and making the most of opportunities to meet economic objectives. London needs to be able to deliver sustainability to face tomorrow's challenges and embrace tomorrow's opportunities and we all need to deliver this together by working in partnership.
