Definition of sustainable development and why it is important for London
Sustainable development is the bringing together of social, economic and environmental benefits in a way that delivers a whole benefit that is greater than the sum of the parts. London is a great, diverse world city that has some of the richest and poorest people in the country within its boundaries and uses a disproportionate share of the world's resources to support them. To remain a great world city, London must address this imbalance.
The priority London needs to focus on to become the world's most sustainable city
Become an exemplar of personal leadership in sustainability by supporting individuals prepared to take responsibility and lead.
