Making Sustainability Work
Using our Framework
Our Sustainable Development Framework for London and our 'Making your plans sustainable: A London Guide' give practical guidance on how to apply the virtuous cycle approach. The Framework is underpinned by four key drivers - Taking Responsibility, Developing Respect, Managing Resources and Getting Results, as a way to apply the Framework and virtuous cycle thinking. We use our Framework when:
- Undertaking Sustainability Appraisals on proposals, policies and projects;
- Providing early input into policy proposals; and
- Thinking strategically about sustainability issues in London.
See our Commentary page to see how to apply this approach in practice to a range of Mayoral strategies. Discover Virtuous Cycle Thinking with our interactive tool that provides further resources for how to achieve sustainable results against our Framework.
